Bridget's Recipe

Dissolve
Amount Measure Ingredient
2 Tbsp Dry Yeast
3/4 cup Lukewarm Water
 
Combine in a Large Bowl
Amount Measure Ingredient
3 cups Warm Water
1 cup Dry Milk Powder
1/2 cup Shortening or Butter
-- softened
2 Eggs
1/3 cup Sugar
2 tsp Salt
Yeast Mixture from above
 
Have Ready
Amount Measure Ingredient
6 cups White Flour
4 cups Whole Wheat Flour
 

Add 5 cups of flour and beat thoroughly. Stir in 3 more cups of flour. Knead in 2 remaining cups of flour - until smooth and elastic. Let rise until doubled in bulk. Shape into rolls. Bake 20-25 minutes at 375 degrees.
